Athenry 2010
Crafts Education Demonstation
Here are some photographs taken at Athenry Castle
in County Galway. Eireann Edge provided a traditional
blacksmithing display using a small portable coal forge
and handmade bellows, traditional wood turning, stone
carving, wattle construction, candle making,a history
talk and a wooden tower. Six locals were also trained
earlier in the day to take part in a small mock battle
including seven trained fighters and two archers.
