History talks
Eireann Edge provides educational history talks for primary and secondary schools. These can be on any period of Irish history from the Stone Age to the 1600s.These talks give children the chance to see examples of clothing, tools, materials and weapons used by our ancestors. The talks are conducted in an easy going and humorous way, entertaining as well as educating the children.

Blacksmithing displays
Blacksmithing displays as part of a talk for schools or demonstrations for the public are also available. This display offers the chance to safely witness the processes and techniques of blacksmithing. While a modern gas forge can be used for schools, the original Medieval version complete with bellows and enclosed coal fire can be provided for authentic displays.

Medieval weapons display
These involve a talk as well as a demonstration of the use of swords, spears, shields, axes and bows. Up to six men can be provided for this type of display. All of our fighters have several years training in choreographed and freestyle combat and have worked with Eireann Edge at high profile events such as Athenry Walled Towns Day, Heritage Week at OPW sites across the country, Derrys City Walls and many other town fairs and festivals.
Eireann Edge also works alongside other crafts people to provide an even more varied package of displays, demonstrations and products.
